Yvonne Tuttle Thacker

Yvonne Tuttle Thacker, 86, of Reidsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord Monday, July 6, 2026.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Mayodan Municipal Cemetery in Mayodan, North Carolina. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Yvonne was born in Guilford County to the late Oscar Otis "Bunt" Tuttle and Audrey Perdue Tuttle. She graduated from Summerfield High School and King's Business College. She went on to spend years in office, clerical, and medical insurance work for Rose's Stores, construction companies, and Dr. Joe Robinson of Stokesdale, before serving and retiring from Summerfield Family Practice. She also worked as a nursing assistant at a care facility and as a teacher at two Christian schools.

She will be remembered for her quiet strength, faithful spirit, caring heart, and the love she shared with her family, friends, and everyone who needed her. Her Christian faith was a constant throughout her life. She is received in Heaven by innumerable friends, family, and pets.

In addition to her parents, Yvonne was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Tuttle and wife, Lucille. She is survived by her son, Shane Thacker and wife, Lorrie Schmid; and her brother, Larry Tuttle and wife, Melissa. She is also survived by Shane's step-siblings Rick Waters and Joni Burnett, along with many loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
