Winfred "Mac" Chapmon and Shirley "Fay" Chapmon

Winfred “Mac” Chapmon, 79, and Shirley “Fay” Chapmon, 78, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 6, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Reverend Heath Lloyd and Reverend Dennis Chapmon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 10:00AM and other times at the home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens.

Mr. and Mrs. Chapmon were members of Fairview Baptist Church and were loving and proud parents and grandparents. They celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on December 16, 2021. Fay enjoyed sewing women’s clothing and gardening, while Mac was a life-long Dodgers Fan.

They are survived by their children, Dwayne Chapmon and wife Jessica, Jason Chapmon and wife Natalie, Kristie Friddle and husband, Tim; grandchildren, Zachary Chapmon and wife Savannah, Aaron Chapmon, Tehya Friddle, Rose Friddle and Delaney Harrington.

Mac is also survived by his sister-in-law, Shirley Chapmon and was preceded in death by his parents, Winfred Mauling Chapmon and Mattie Ruth Trent Chapmon; siblings, Tommy Chapmon, Lawerence Chapmon, Shirley Pearson and Carolyn Lee.

Fay is also survived by her brothers, Elon Walker and wife Lou, Gary Walker and wife Evon; sisters, Jewel Pruitt and husband Jack and Margie Collins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cletus Holman Walker and Mary Pearl Taylor Walker; brothers, Bobby Lee Walker, Billy Walker and sister, Peggy Owens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Fairview Baptist Church, 2531 Flat Rock Rd, Reidsville, NC 27320 or to Wilkerson Funeral Home, 1909 Richardson Drive, Reidsville, NC 27320 to help with funeral expenses.
