Wilma T. Bailey

Wilma T. Bailey, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 13, 2019 at Danville Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Lively Stones Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Kent officiating. The family will meet with friends and family one hour prior to the service from 2:00PM until 3:00PM at the church. Interment will follow on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 in Burnesville. Wilma was born in Yancey County to the late Fred Edger Buchanan and Myrtle Woody Buchanan and was a retiree of Dan River Mills. She was a longtime member of Lively Stones Baptist Church and was involved in the senior activities. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Bailey; a brother; several sisters and a granddaughter. Survivors include her daughter, Neta Thomas; son, Ricky Thomas and wife, Marlene; grandson, Steve Clifton; one brother and three sisters.
