Willie O. Taylor

Willie “Bill” Taylor, 95, of Ruffin, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the Rockingham County Hospice Home. There will be a private burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Durham, NC. Bill was born in Wilson, NC to the late George H. Taylor and Lillie Mae Lucas Taylor. He served his country in the US Army and was a retiree of the American Tobacco Company in Durham, NC. He was a proud member of Lawsonville Road Baptist Church, which he dearly loved and felt the love of his church family. He was predeceased by wives, Irene Snipes Taylor and Ethel Taylor; daughters, Jean Crew and Lavern Allen; and 5 siblings. He is survived by his sons, Eddie Taylor, Wayne Taylor and Willie “Tommy” Taylor; step children, Gary Hicks and Lynn Taylor; 14 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
