Uncle Jimmy, what all can we say. Quite the character. Aunt Libby would say, " Jimmy let somebody else talk", as we visited. Always willing to help anyone with anything. He would break up cookies to give to my dog Daisy as she did her little ballerina dance but would forget to give the cookies due to talking. Always gave a big hug as you came and went. And of course the oooga horn coming around the corner and long strings tied on the back of his truck following behind. We will surely miss you. I know you are having a wonderful reunion with all who have gone before us. Maybe they will let you talk. We will miss you and we love you. God bless and keep the family and the last sibling we still have here, my mama Mary. Much love, Kim Richardson

My Uncle Jimmy was so good to me and my family throughout the years, anytime we needed his help, he was there. He taught me how to drive a stick shift on a 1950 Chevy pickup that I bought. That was fun and some 35+ years later I still drive cars with manual transmissions. Rest In Peace Uncle Jimmy. Joan Gower

My condolences to family and friends . I always enjoyed Mr. Johnson and his love for the old hymns. Once in awhile we would sing one together and it always ended with a smile on his face.

Jimmy was one of the most friendly person that I have known. He was faithful to Piedmont Baptist Church and to the Lord. I have known him most of my life, Since he and my father were sewing machine fixers, Jimmy would come to the Reidsville Drapery Plant and discuss their skills and machine problems.I enjoyed seeing and talking with him, he will be missed by all that knew him.
