Wanda Sue Brande

Wanda Sue Brande, 73, of Reidsville, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Eden Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 10, 2026, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Willard and Pastor Joey Pellino officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of Jimmie and Becky Brande, 2812 Dapple Road, Reidsville.

Wanda Sue was born in Rockingham County to the late George Wade Brande, Jr. and Helena Moore Brande. She graduated from Reidsville High School in 1971 and began a dedicated career working at Burlington Industries before later joining Equity Meats, where she remained until her retirement. One of her favorite stories to share was winning a brand-new Chevrolet HHR in Equity Meats' annual employee drawing—a surprise that brought her much joy. Wanda was a faithful member of Baptist Temple Church and enjoyed the fellowship she found there. She was an avid Duke Blue Devils basketball fan who rarely missed a game and looked forward to cheering on her team each season. Wanda also loved spending time shopping, going out with her friends, and making memories with those she loved most. She will be remembered for her warm spirit, her love of laughter and friendship, and the many lives she touched throughout the years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Loftis; and niece, Christy Dawn Loftis.

She is survived by her brother, Jimmie Brande and wife, Becky; nephew, Eric Brande and wife, Jody; great nephews, William, James and Jacob Brande; great niece, Joy Brande; cousin, Kathleen White; as well as many friends.
