Wanda Blake, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2026.
She was born to the late Cecil S. Clymer and Pearl Clymer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Anthony "Bill" Blake, Jr.; her grandson, Ronald Curtis Blake, Jr.; her brothers, Cecil Clymer, Jr. and Doug Clymer(Dot); and her sister, Margaret Clymer.
Wanda leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her five sons: Ric Blake and wife, Tracy, of Reidsville; Ronnie Blake and wife, Barbara, of Ruffin; Gary Blake and wife, Trudy, of Sandston, Virginia; David Blake of Sandston, Virginia; and Joe Blake of Durham, North Carolina. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Wanda was a dedicated employee for many years with Sears and Burlington Industries. After retirement, her servant's heart led her to continue helping others through her work with the Red Cross and Meals on Wheels, where she found great fulfillment in serving her community.
Above all else, Wanda loved her family and her Lord. She was a faithful member of her church and spent much of her life caring for others, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her kindness, compassion, and generous spirit touched countless lives and will remain a lasting legacy for those who knew and loved her.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the caregivers and staff of The Landings of Reidsville, Guilford House, and Eden Rehabilitation for the compassionate care and kindness shown to Wanda over the past several years.
In accordance with her wishes, no services are planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Reidsville Red Cross, Meals on Wheels, or the Reidsville Police Neighborhood Watch Program.
Though Wanda will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in the love she shared, the faith she lived, and the many lives she touched throughout her lifetime. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
