Tom Brison Knowles

Tom Brison Knowles, 78, of Reidsville, left his earthly home on Sunday, January 31, 2021. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Ron Tuck and Rev. Ryan Crowder officiating. Due to COVID-19 the family ask that you practice social distancing and wear a face mask. At other times the family will be at the home of Karen Cardwell, 230 Alee Road, Reidsville. You may stop by Wilkerson Funeral Home on Tuesday and on Wednesday prior to the service to pay your respects and sign the register. Brison was born in Rockingham County to the late Alfred Joe Knowles and Annie Bell Williams Knowles. He retired from Duke Energy with 35 years of service and was a farmer. He loved baseball and softball and spent many years playing softball with the Duke Power team. He loved getting out and spending time on his farm, visiting his friends while drinking coffee, but most especially enjoyed his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Anita Gail Knowles; brother, Ernest Knowles; sisters, Betty Knowles Dickerson and Brenda Knowles Paynter; and beloved dog, Sofie. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol Knowles; son, Chad Brison Knowles and wife, Lori; daughter, Karen Knowles Cardwell and husband, Ricky; grandchildren, Reba Walker Wyatt and husband, Ian, Dylan Walker, Brison Knowles and Emily Cardwell Whitehead and husband, Brandon; great-grandchildren, Jada Cardwell, Arianna Whitehead and Kyrie Whitehead; sisters, Audrey Knowles Allen and Cora Knowles Lewis; and an abundance of friends.
