Thelma Davis Smith

Thelma Davis Smith, 90, went home to be with The Lord on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Lawsonville Road Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Tuck officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. Thelma was born in Rockingham County to the late Charlie and Vanza Davis. She was a retiree of Burlington Industries and a longtime member of Lawsonville Road Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Danny Smith; brothers Roy Davis and Charlie Davis, Jr.; half-brother James Langley; and sister Littie Mae Davis. Survivors are her daughters Judy Smith, Janet Smith and husband Danny and Debbie Smith; grandchildren Jeff Gilley, Jason Vaughn and Kasey Harbour and husband Michael; great grandchildren Logan Vaughn, Tiger Gilley, Hannah Gilley and Colton Vaughn; nephew Tony Davis.
