Tammy Lane Borland, age 64, of Eden, North Carolina, joined her Lord and Savior on July 5, 2026, with her closest loved ones by her side, holding her hands.
Born on November 23, 1961, in Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late George W. Stewart and Betty L. Lovin. Tammy found great joy in watching her children and grandchildren grow. She was a wonderful cook who took great pride in preparing her Thanksgiving dinners. She loved to sing and listen to country music—the real kind. In her recent years, she enjoyed raising her beloved pup, Ghost, immersing herself in cinema, and reconnecting with family and friends.
Tammy is survived by her husband, James E. Borland; her loving sons, Jason Rusilko, Travis Hazuga, and Ryan Hazuga; her daughter, Nikita Crouch (Joshua); her stepdaughter, Ivy Borland (William); and Ghost, her beloved canine companion. She also leaves behind her cherished thirteen grandchildren: Tristen, Jaheem, Alena, Dylan, Lylah, Jace, Kaleb, Karma, Ariya, Julian, Preston, Emma, and Serenity; her great-grandson, Jamari; and her siblings, Pam Lee, Wanda Gay Hart, Betty Rumley, and Gigi Wright.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty L. Lovin; her father, George W. Stewart; her brothers, Allen and Kip; her sister, Cindy; and her grandchildren, Ryah and Emilio.
Tammy knew Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, and her family takes comfort in knowing she has taken her place beside Him for eternity.
Tammy will be laid to rest beside her daddy, whom she loved with all her heart, in the beautiful state of Tennessee at a later date.
