Talmadge Eugene Curry "Corky"

Talmadge Eugene Curry, “Corky”, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 21, 2022.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022, at Wilkerson Funeral Home at 2 PM with Rev. Christy Taylor officiating. A graveside committal will follow the service at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday February 24, 2022, at the funeral home and other times at the home of his son, Steve Curry.

Corky was born in Rockingham County to the late Walker Martin Curry and Rosa Anna Griffin Curry. He attended Leaksville Schools, was drafted into the Army during the Korean War and after his return he graduated from Elon University. He went to work with American Tobacco as a Purchasing Agent and retired with over 30 years of service as a Purchasing Manager. He was a longtime member of Woodmont United Methodist Church and he loved golfing, hunting, and traveling. Most of all he was a kind generous and thoughtful man who loved his family dearly.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by, his wife of 66 years, Brenda M. Curry; grandson, Patrick Martin Curry and brother, Richard Arlen Curry.

Corky is survived by his sons, Steve Curry and wife, Dianne, and Chris Curry; Grandchildren, Caroline Haley and husband, Dennis as well as Christen Curry; great grandchildren, Preston Curry, Dylan Haley, Jeb Haley; great-great grandson, Ben Haley as well as a large and loving group of extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Feeding the Flock Fund at Woodmont United Methodist Church at 1926 Richardson Drive Reidsville, NC 27320
