Steven Chris Lattimer

Steven Chris Lattimer, 68, of Reidsville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 11, 2025.

A memorial service will be held with Pastor Heath Lloyd officiating and announced once arrangements are finalized, with an update expected in the coming days.

Steve was born on May 25, 1957, in Oberlin, Ohio, to Barbara Jean Felver Lattimer and the late James Leon Lattimer. He loved the Lord—and he loved telling people about Jesus. No matter where he was, he always said he just wanted “to be a blessing wherever he went.” He graduated from Circleville Bible College in Ohio, and ministry was truly his calling. He spent several years going on mission trips before becoming a pastor and eventually served as pastor at Sandy Cross Wesleyan Church for 10 years. But outside of that, he had a fun, laid-back side too. He loved riding his motorcycle, fishing, and one of his favorite places to be was right on his back porch with his dog, Charlie, just enjoying the quiet.

Steve was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Melinda Warren Lattimer; his daughters, Jami Lynn Klein (Brett) and Heather Erickson (Justin); grandsons, Dane and Marcus Erickson; siblings, Brian Lattimer (David Messick), Kimberly Swisher (and the late John), Paul Lattimer (Lori), Julie Golden (Sam), Jodi Lattimer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
