Sarah Dolly Bibee

Sarah Dolly Bibee, 58, of Burlington, passed away Monday, November 10, 2025.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Willie Coe officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Sarah was born in Pinehurst, NC, to Maxcine Jones and Lawrence Ray Hemphill. She was very loved — a beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend to all. Caring, soft-hearted, and generous, she will be greatly missed.

In addition to her father, Lawrence Ray Hemphill, Sarah was preceded in death by her brother, Benny Lee Brock.

She is survived by her mother, Maxcine Jones; her daughters, Beverly Maines and husband James, Amanda Coe, and Crystal Coe and husband Sean Smith; grandchildren, Isaiah Coe and Josephine Coe; Willie Coe, father of her children and life-long friend, and his wife Ann Coe; her sisters, Sheila Gail Brock and Mildred Earlene Pruitt; her brothers, William Hemphill and half-brother Lester Hemphill; and many loved ones and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation, the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), or Alcoholics Anonymous.
