I am sorry to hear about Joan. I did a veterinary internship 2010-2011, and joan started that year. She was instantly a comforting presence and always seemed happy. I remember I had to assemble some desks for the office. I also changed the swing of her mom fridge door. She was impressed. When I finished my internship, she gave me a set of tools. She told me I could be a handyman if the vet thing didn't work out. Luckily, I'm still a vet, but I still have the tools. I will remember her fondly.

Joan has been a prominent figure in the Carolina Equine Hospital team for almost 10 years. Her infectious smile, warm voice and unending quest to provide exemplary service for our clients, patients and staff over the years will truly be missed. She loved the opportunity to connect with people about their animals and her enthusiasm for her work showed daily. Her warm regard for her co-workers was second to none and her charming personality was a constant beacon of light in our office. James R. Talbot, DVM Carolina Equine Hospital
