Sandra Gale French

Sandra Gale French, 78, of Reidsville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 19, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM, Friday, February 23, 2024 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Harry Smith officiating.   The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  A private burial will be held at Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, February 24, 2024. 

Gale was born in Carroll Co. VA to the late James N. Hooper and Lena Easter Hooper.  She worked with the Rockingham County School System for 27 ½ years in the cafeteria.  Before her health declined, she was a very active member with Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School, member of the WMU and the Amputee Support Group.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Annette Crowder; and a husband, Charles Bo Dalton.

She is survived by her sons, Anthony Crowder and wife, Tracy and Barry Crowder and wife, Carolyn; grandchildren, Crystal Crowder, Hayley Rhew, Christian Rhew and wife, Jenny, and Daniel Crowder; great grandchild, Elijah Rhew; former husband, special friend and caregiver, George French; brother, David Nelson Hooper; sister, Jean McMillian and husband, Roland, Faye Williams and husband, Bill, and Nancy Thompson.

The family would like to extend a special THANK YOU to the nursing staff at  Jacob's Creek Nursing Center for their exceptional care during Sandra Gale's illness.
