Ruth Ann Wyrick

Ruth Ann Wyrick, of Reidsville went home to be with the Lord on February 15, 2026. She was born on June 30, 1937, and lived a life full of love and faith.

Ruth worked at the White Oak Plant for Cone Mills. She was a dedicated member of Bethel Baptist Church in Greensboro.

Ruth had a passion for her family, often being a loving nanny to her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading her bible, solving word search puzzles, and was a huge fan of Duke sports. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did.

She leaves behind her son Gene Blackwell (Tammy) and daughter Sonya Christian (Eddie). Ruth cherished her grandchildren: Jason Blackwell, Julie Brooks, Darrell Hawkins (Ashley), Melanie Watkins (Michael), and Nathan Christian, as well as her seven great-grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by her brother Raymond Barton (Sue).

Ruth was preceded in death by her first husband of 36 years, JW Blackwell, her late husband of 17 years, John Wyrick, her son Michael Dale, her sister Nancy Tillman, and her precious dog Rico.

Ruth’s life was celebrated previously with a funeral service surrounded by her family and friends at Wilkerson funeral home.
