Ruth Stadler

Browns Summit – Ruth Stadler Key, 92, formerly of 7713 Hwy 150 East, and Cone Extended Care, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Moses Cone Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00 Wednesday, September 24th at Osceola Baptist Church with Rev. Randall Shaw officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lane Bishop, Steve Chase, Tim Clark, Jeff Houser, Tommy Clark, Colby Chase and Cameron Bishop. Mrs. Key was born in Rockingham County to the late Walter and Lelia Swift Stadler. She was a homemaker and a member of Osceola Baptist Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Key and a daughter, Irene LaRita Key. Survivors include her daughters, Geraldine K. Cobb and husband, Brooks of Reidsville, JoAnne K. Bishop and husband, Fred of Browns Summit and Joyce K. Rumley and husband, Garnes of Raleigh; grandchildren, Lane Bishop and wife, Kelly, Robyn Chase and husband, Steve, Jill Clark and husband, Tim, Apryl Clark and husband, Tommy, Penni Houser and husband, Jeff, Gina Rumley and Candyce Rumley; eight great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 23 from 6-8 PM and other times at the home of her daughter, JoAnne Bishop, 8001 Southerland Drive, Browns Summit, NC.
