Russell Junior Overby

Russell Junior Overby, 79, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2020 at his home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Wendell Edwards officiating. Russell was born in Rockingham County to the late Russell Jefferson Overby and Doshie Lawrence Overby. He was a retiree with The Department of Transportation and was also a Machanic. He attended Grace Covenant Holiness Church and along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Overby; brothers, Ofurl Fuqua, James Fuqua, Jack Fuqua and Marty Overby; sisters, Frances Hill, Louise McMillan and Myrtle Giles. Survivors are his daughter, Patsy Billingsley; grandson, Brad Clayton and wife, Lauren; great grandson, Conor Clayton; sisters, Irene Evans and a special sister and caregiver, Joy Martin and his constant companion, Norris.
