Russell Dale Knight

Russell Dale Knight, 38, of 915 Pinewood Road, was called home by The Lord unexpectedly on Sunday, September 25, 2022.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Ralph Clayton officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service and other times at the home.

Russell was born in Rockingham County and graduated from Rockingham County High School. He was a loving son and father. Russell worked as a boiler maker and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Boiler Makers. He was a gifted mechanic and enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anybody, anywhere. Russell lived considering others first and was generous almost to a fault. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his son Nathanial Lucky Knight; companion Candy Carter; parents Ronnie and Janet Knight; aunts Tricia Knight and husband Mike, Susan Reeves, Beverly Baynes, and Cheryl Williamson and husband Barry; brother from another mother Little George Isley; and extended family.
