Ronny Ray Trent

Ronny Ray Trent 71, of Reidsville our beloved husband, father, papa, brother, uncle and friend passed away on July 20, 2021 after a lengthy time of declining health.
Ronny was born in Eden, raised at Barium Springs Children’s Home and graduated from Wentworth High school, as an All-Star Basketball player. He entered into the army serving his country and received the Bronze Star Medal (with “V” Device for Valor) that was awarded to Ronny for his heroism in ground combat in Vietnam. He received several associates degrees in Environmental Science and worked as an Environmental Director at the Betsy Jeff Penn 4-H Educational Center.


He is survived by his wife, Maggie; his daughter, Kim Green; his three grandchildren, Cali, Brad, Ella; sister, Bonny; foster brothers, Steve and Mike. Ronny had many friends and was a great friend. He was also a friend of Bill W’s.


He is preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Murphy; sister, Bea Trent and his son, Michael Trent.


The Military Memorial Service will be at Mission First, 1520 South Scales Street Reidsville, with Danielle Hammett and Michelle Foster-Beckerleg officiating.


Visitation will begin at 10:00-11:00am and service will be held at 11: 00am on Tuesday July 27th. The church ask that you observe social distancing and please wear a mask.
