Ronald Long

Ronald “Ron” Long of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 23, 2021.

Service will be held at Reidsville Christian Church on October 16, 2021 at 2:00. Reception to follow.

Ron was born in Bristol, Tennessee on February 3, 1943. He graduated from Bristol Tennessee High and played football for the University of Alabama. Ron was a fan of the Tennessee VOLS football, he enjoyed golf and loved history.

He is survived by his wife, Edwana “Edee” Long of Reidsville; brother, Jeff Long of Salem; daughter, Cydney Penza and grandchildren, Charles and Emily Penza of Hammonton, New Jersey; son, Ryan Long (Nicole) and grandchildren, Daniel, Ryan, Tyler, Dylan and great granddaughter, Charlotte of Atco, New Jersey; Stepsons, Larry Thacker and grandchildren, Brittany, Gabriel and Savannah of Nashville, Tennessee and Jason Thacker (Gianna) and grandchildren, Arianna, Alessandra, Braydon and Blaise of Franklin, Tennessee; Step daughter, Kimberly Thacker of Roanoke, Virginia.
