Roger Scott Baldwin

Roger Scott Baldwin of Reidsville, NC, took his last breath on earth on Wednesday at 4:40 p.m. and his next breath in Heaven. He was surrounded by his family.

He was a devoted Christian who sought to use his life experiences as a witness to others. His faith was an important part of who he was, and he shared what he had learned through his own journey with those around him.Roger was an artist at heart. He expressed his creativity through pastels, colored pencils, pen and ink, and countless other ways. Creativity was also something he loved to share with his children. As a father, he was dedicated to bringing adventure, imagination, and new experiences into their lives. He enjoyed creating memories that would last long beyond their childhood. He had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in hiking, kayaking, camping, and exploring the natural world. He especially enjoyed gardening and making floral arrangements. Among everything he loved, his beloved dog, Kristen, held a particularly special place in his heart. Above all, Roger treasured his family.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Baldwin; his three children, Alicia Baldwin, Paul Baldwin, and Sarah Maasen; his son-in-law, Brett Maasen; his granddaughter, Lylee Maasen; and his four granddogs. He is also survived by his three brothers, Richard, David, and Jimmy Baldwin, and his sister, Faith Castle, along with their spouses, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended families, including his beloved niece, Dorothy West.

The family will receive friends and family at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville from 5:00–6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19th. A funeral service remembering Roger Baldwin’s life will follow at 6:00 p.m.
