Roberta Kay Wright

Roberta Kay Wright, 69, of Reidsville, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Rockingham County Tuesday, October 20, 2020. A graveside service will be held Thursday October 22, 2020 at 2PM at Midway United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ryan Mendenhall and Rev. Patricia Wright officiating. Ms. Kay will lie in state Thursday morning until 12 pm for viewing at the funeral home. Kay was born in Rockingham County to the late Robert Reid Wright and Eva Raine Williams Wright. She was a faithful, longtime member of Midway United Methodist Church and a 1969 graduate of Bethany High school. She was a simple woman who loved her family, especially the children. Most of all she loved her Lord and Savior. Ms. Kay will be missed by all who knew her. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved sister, Carolyn Wright. She is survived by first cousin and care giver, Kathryn Joyce and husband, Frank; as well as a numerous and loving extended family. The family would like to offer special thanks to the Pelican Health Care, Annie Penn Hospital and Hospice of Rockingham County’s staff for their wonderful care of our loved one during her time of need.
