Robert Abernathy Pettigrew

Mayodan-Robert Abernathy Pettigrew, 80, of 402 S. 6th Ave, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at Annie Penn Hospital A memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 7 to 9 PM.. Mr. Pettigrew was born in Rockingham County to the late Robert and Mattie Allen Pettigrew. He   served   in the United States Navy during World War II   and was a member of Mayodan United Methodist Church.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death of   his son, Kenny King. He is survived by  4 sons, Michael Abernathy Giles and friend , Brenda S. Wilson, Robert Edward Pettigrew and fiance’, Tina Tucker, David Wayne Pettigrew and wife, Cheryl and Patrick Dean Pettigrew ; one daughter, Pam Louise Pettigrew; 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
