Robert C. Bowman

Robert C. Bowman, 79, of Reidsville, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Chapmon officiating. Burial will follow at Reidlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Robert was born in Rockingham County to the late James Preston and Ethel Plaster Bowman. He graduated from Wentworth High School in 1967 and retired from Keystone Foods after 28 years of service. Before that, he worked for 17 years with Baxter Kelly, a weaving operation in Stoneville.

Robert was a member of New Heights Church for 55 years and later became a member of First Assembly of God on Harrington Highway in Eden. He was a huge NASCAR fan and avid collector, a Carolina basketball fan, and he loved both country and gospel music.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eva; brother, Preston Monroe Bowman; and sister, Patsy Gammon.

He is survived by his sister, Ruby Joyce and her husband, Calvin; and by Debby and Melinda Chapmon, who were like daughters to him.
