We in Caswell County were saddened to hear of his death. He served the church well for many years.

Cleveland was my first cousin on my Mother's side. He was about 16 years older than me, so I did not really know him until he was essentially an adult. He was always kind to me, and interesting to talk to. I remember being very impressed that he had obtained a black belt in judo while stationed in Japan. We saw each other occasionally over the years, and my wife and I enjoyed receiving Church bulletins from the last Church where he served as Pastor. May he rest in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
