Peggy Joyce Strader French

Peggy Joyce French 76, Went home to be with the Lord on April 9, 2019. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Roselawn Memorial Garden with Rev. Allen Myers officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6-8 PM and other times at the home. Peggy was born in Rockingham County to the late Elvin Wesley Strader and Elizabeth Owens Strader. She was a fighter and a hardworker; she loved being outside in the yard and always stayed busy. Gardening was her passion. She was a fantastic cook and always made sure you had something to eat when visiting. Family meant everything to her, because in the end all you have is each other. Most of all she loved her “babies”. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and meant the world to her. “Ma, we miss you. We’re strong and will be fine. You were needed more up there than down here. You are home now, enjoy your loved ones and sing, praise and watch over us. We love you!” Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings, Ronnie Strader, Bobby Strader and Kathy Patterson. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Larry Glenn French; sons, Timothy Glenn French and Terry Wesley French; grandchildren, Susan, Wesley, Matthew, Grace and Cheyenne French; siblings, Rachel Geddings, Larry Strader, Faye Soyars, Gail Strader and Diane Adkins as well as a large extended family Condolences may be sent to the family at www.wilkersonfuneral.com.
