Nira Gray Knowles

Nira Gray Knowles, 92, of Reidsville, passed away on December 12, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Walter Daves officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Nira was born in Caswell County to the late Zeb Vance Partlow and Pattie Paschal Partlow. She loved the Lord and lived out her faith daily, cherished her family, and was generous to a fault—always ready to help, give, or share whatever she had, never hesitating to put others before herself.

In addition to her parents, Nira was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Thacker, and her second husband, Jimmy Knowles. She is survived by her sons Darrell R Thacker and wife Cindy Talbert, Vance Randall Thacker and wife Bonnie Thacker. Grandchildren Kelly Helms, Annette Fletcher and husband Doyle Fletcher, Jeffrey Thacker and wife Maria Thacker, Tracy Holcomb and husband Jason Holcomb. Greatgrandchildren Garrett Purdy, Austin Fletcher, Addison Fletcher, Daizy Manring and husband Luke Manring, Stephen Thacker, Arrow Thacker, Chase Holcomb. Her great-great grandchildren Violett Elaine Thacker, Ezia Iris Penelope Potts, Malinzy Dahlia Manring, and Sage Hezekiah Manring.
