Nella Simms Allyn

Eden:   Nella Simms Allyn, 98, of Brian Center of Eden, died Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Morehead Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Saturday at Wilkerson Funeral Home with the Rev. Michelle Chappell officiating.   Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Nella was born in Ellicottville, NY to the late Walter P. and Grace Mae Drown Simms.   She was a member of First United Methodist Church and an active member of the    Willing Workers.   She was a loving mother, grandmother and person.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle H. Allyn and sister, Beatrice Sloan. She is survived by her son, Clair Allyn and wife, Betty of Chesterfield, MO; daughters, Dennie Kohler and husband, Dennis of Hartville, OH, Leah West and husband, Donald and Debbie Baldwin and husband, Roger all of Reidsville; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home, Saturday from 1:00PM – 2:00PM prior to the service.   At other times the family will be at Debbie’s home, 871 Parkland Road.
