Nancy Taylor Durham

Nancy Taylor Durham, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 6,2026.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday May 9, 2026, at Mount Carmel Global Methodist Cemetery with Dr. Travis McGuirt and Rev. Justin Hernandez officiating.

Nancy was born in Patrick County, Virginia to the late Harold Taylor and Ludie Moore Taylor. She a dedicated, long-term member of Calvary Baptist Church. Nancy loved going to the Reidsville YMCA early in the morning and loved working outside in her yard. She was affectionately known as the “Pie Lady” and regularly gave out over a hundred sweet potato pies per year. She would often be seen around town in her Volkswagen Beetle with her beloved dog Skylar. Nancy will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Durham.

Nancy is survived by her son, Roger Murphy and wife, Saundra, Granddaughter of her heart, Heather Fargis and husband, Aaron; great grandchildren of her heart, Eliana and Wesley Fargis as well a loving group of extended family and friends.
