Michael Dwain Draughn

Michael Dwain Draughn, 67, of Eden passed away Sunday, September 20th, 2026, at Hospice House of Rockingham County after a short stay.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23rd, 2026, at Wilkerson Funeral Home, 1909 Richardson Drive, Reidsville, NC 27320, with a 1 hour prior visitation for friends and family, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Mike was born April 18, 1959, in Leaksville, NC, to the late Edward Phillip Draughn and Gladys Stophel Draughn. Mike was an avid motorcycle rider, guitarist, and friend. Mike enjoyed music and spent several years as head of security for venues hosting artists such as Charlie Daniel’s and Willie Nelson. In addition to his love for music, Mike enjoyed time with his family and friends, where he could talk for days on end, simply enjoying the company of others. He will be remembered by his large stature, witty stories, and enjoyment of others.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Gladys Draughn; sister, Debra Draughn; and infant brother Steve Draughn.

Mike is survived by his brothers, Eddie Draughn (Chelsea) of Stoneville, David Draughn of Reidsville; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
