Maurice Lee Holley

Reidsville – Maurice Lee Holley, 70, of 260 Richardson Road, went home to be with his Lord, Wednesday, January 16, 2008. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Mayfield Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Dyer officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Holley was born in Rockingham County to the late Robert Lee and Beatrice Hyler Holley. He was a retired fixer for Karastan. He was a longtime and faithful member of Mayfield Missionary Baptist Church, where he was currently serving as a Deacon. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Thomas Holley. He is survived by his wife, Lucille Holley of the home; children, Gary Thomas Holley and wife, Marilyn, Debra Marcine Holley, Howard Henry Holley and wife, Leanne; grandchildren, Samantha Johnson and husband, Kenneth, Toby Holley and wife, Signe, Beth Morelli and husband, Mikey, Brandon Holley and Drew Holley; two great granddaughters, Mackenzie Atkins and Abby Johnson; sister, Almeda Byrd and nephews, Brian Bailey, Arnold J. Bailey and Jyles Creasey. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Friday, January 18, 2008 from 7-9 PM and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Wilkerson Funeral Home, on behalf of the Holley family for funeral expenses.
