Mary Susan Wilkie

Mary Susan Wilkie, 79 of Reidsville, went home to be with The Lord, Friday, August 30, 2024, at Moses Cone Hospital.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 3:00 – 4:00 PM. The inurnment will follow in Bessemer City Cemetery at a later date.

Born in Greensboro to the late William Hunter Caldwell, Sr. and Mildred Perkins Caldwell, where she grew up in Gastonia, NC and spent most of her adult life in the Apex area. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and worked the majority of her career for the UNC Hospital system. She was an accomplished genealogist, music lover and a Tar Heel born and bred! 

Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her brothers William Hunter Caldwell, Jr. and Robert Perkins Caldwell.

Mary is survived by her sons David Hunter Wilkie and wife Jessica and Jeffrey Alan Wilkie and wife Michelle; grandchildren Amber, Christopher, Jasmine, Maxwell, Eva, Jason, Aaron, and Eli; and extended family.
