Mary Smith Lamberth, 88, of Reidsville, went home to be with The Lord on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Green Valley Hospital. A private funeral service will be held Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Baptist Temple Church with Pastor Lyle Milligan and Mr. Shannon Newsome officiating. The committal will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mary was a native of Caswell County and the daughter of the late James and Lottie Crews Smith. She retired from American Tobacco Company with over 25 years of service. She was a longtime and faithful member of Baptist Temple Church. Mary loved her family and selflessly served others. Christmas was her favorite time of the year celebrating the birth of Jesus, spending countless hours preparing floral arrangements and baking delectable holiday treats. Other joys in her life included traveling to all 50 states, taking care of her pets and cheering for the Atlanta Braves and the North Carolina Tar Heels. Along with her parents, Mary was also preceded in death by her husband James Lamberth; brothers Robert, Odell, George and Gayle Smith; sister Jennie Hedrick; and stepson Jimmy Foster. Mary is survived by her children Cheryl Williams and husband Raymond, Roger Lamberth and wife Lynn and David Lamberth and wife Janet; grandchildren Ashley Wade and husband Glenn, Nick Williams and wife Miranda, Tori Deans, Justin Lamberth and wife Karli, Kristen Lamberth, Meribeth Lamberth, Jordan Lamberth and wife Kendall, Kara Lamberth, Adam Foster and fiancé Hayley Kane and Preston Foster; great grandchildren Arabella Wade, Blake Williams, Tilley Lamberth, Hunter Deans, Derek, Destiny and Diego Foster; sisters Ruby Dockery, Irene McMillan, Sue Reaves and Margaret Moody and a large extended family. Memorial contributions may be made to Baptist Temple Church, 729 Wentworth Street, Reidsville, NC 27320.
