Mary LeeAnna Saferight

Mary LeeAnna Saferight, 34, went home to be with the Lord, May 5, 2025. She leaves behind a tapestry of affectionate memories woven into the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her. A celebration of life will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville, NC, at 6:00 PM on May 12, 2025.  A visitation will be held one hour prior, with Pastor Jerry Stanley officiating.

A free spirit and a natural jokester, Mary was blessed with a contagious laugh that could light up the darkest of days. Her kindness resonated deeply, and anyone who crossed her path knew she had a soul that was always ready to lend a helping hand.

Mary adored the great outdoors, making cherished memories fishing by the water’s edge and camping with her beloved sons. These experiences were more than just hobbies; they were moments wrapped in love, which defined her maternal devotion and exemplified the joy she found in her family. Rigorous laughter echoed through the trees as she recounted tales from adventures shared with her boys, reaffirming the bond they had and the love that would transcend time.

A passionate artist, she found solace in drawing and loved to garden, with the same nurturing spirit she bestowed upon her family. With every flower that bloomed, her vibrant personality shined through, reflecting her ability to cultivate beauty in both her artwork and her life.

Mary’s family will remember her not just for her playful nature, but also for her remarkable warmth. She is survived by her three boys, Gabriel, Kaleb, and Maverick, her loving parents Louise and Norman Lee Saferight Jr., her cherished sisters Sara and Rachel, her brother Frank and "baby mama" Erin. Additionally, Nieces; Natilee, Katelynn, Louise, and Salem, as well as her nephew Ethan, and her grandmother, "MoeMoe" Nancy, along with a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mary leaves behind a bittersweet reminder of love destined to continue in those she cherished the most. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mary and Norman Saferight Sr., her maternal grandfather Benny Brewster, and her brother-in-law and bestest friend, David Harris Jr.
