Mary Ann Pickrell

Mary Ann Manley Pickrell, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Surrounded by her family, June 19, 2026, at Moses Cone Hospital.

Mary Ann was born on July 4, 1956 to the late Thornton and Mary Apple Manley.

The family will receive family and friends Thursday, June 25, 2026 at the Wilkerson Funeral Home from 5-7 PM. A private service will be held at a later date.

Before her health problems, she worked in food preparation at Sheetz Distribution Center and McDonalds. Mary absolutely loved being born on July, 4th, which allowed her to be an avid collector of anything patriotic. Mary often went by the nickname Tweetie from her husband William, and at other times known as Grams to her granddaughter that she loved dearly, Olivia. When she was not spending time with her family, she would be seen with her sisters almost every Friday night enjoying meals and shopping, when they weren’t booked on Fridays they loved an occasional beach trip together. Mary Ann was known as a beautiful soul and liked to help other people more than herself, and she loved to be a mother to everyone, especially her coworkers.

She loved her little dog “Angel” who passed away a few years ago, along with many other pets throughout the years.

Along with her parents, Mary Ann is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Angel Neal.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 25 years William “Papa Pick” Pickrell, Son; Kenneth Neal (Brittany), Granddaughter; Olivia Neal, Sisters; Donna Neal (Robert Lee), Kay Manley, nephews; Robert Allen Neal and Cameron Neal, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was one of a kind and will be dearly missed by everyone who known her.
