Mary Lea Call Perdue, 81, of Reidsville, went home to be with the Lord on June 22, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Hester and Chaplain Linwood Carver officiating. Burial will follow at Reidlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
Mary was born in Guilford County to the late Roy Lee Call and Ruby Cromer Bennett. She was a woman of deep faith who loved the Lord with all her heart. She faithfully shared her faith with others and was known by many as a true prayer warrior. She dearly loved her church family at Community Baptist Church and was a faithful witness for Christ throughout her life.
Mary never met a stranger. She loved people, and people loved her. Many will fondly remember her famous chocolate pies, but even more will remember her kindness, generosity, and servant's heart. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a cherished grandmother whose life touched countless people.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her stepfather, Floyd Bennett, and her brother, Jerry Call, Sr. She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Willard Perdue; daughter, Melody Perdue Thompson and husband, Dennis; son, Marty Perdue; grandchildren, Claire Thompson Surber and husband, Dustin, and Jake Perdue; and a special great-niece, Haley Hunt and husband, Jake.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff of Anchora Care for the loving care, compassion, and support shown to Mary and her family during her journey, especially Yana Pomeroy, whose kindness, dedication, and compassionate care meant so much to Mary and her loved ones.
