Iris paid my first paychecks at United Department Store in 1950-51, while in High School and my first job there. She always had a smile-Sara Griffin Walker

Those of us who were fortunate enough to know Iris ahd have her as a friend are immeasurably better off for it. She was witty, intelligent, extremely talented in many art forms, and most of all, a joy and a delight to be around. She was empathetic and caring, not only to her beloved family, but toward everyone whom she met. No one lived up to our command to be loving, kind and lift up our fellow man more than did Iris. I, for one, feel that a part of me passed away also on that day when I heard the news. She will be sorely missed but remembered with great joy and thanksgiving for her life.
