Martha Jane Simmons Wray

Reidsville – Martha Jane Simmons Wray, 83, formerly of 609 Mangum Road, died Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center of Alamance. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 6 at Evergreen Memory Gardens. Mrs. Wray was born in Caswell County to the late Jessie and Minnie Wright Simmons and was a retiree of The American Tobacco Company. She was of the Baptist faith and a pianist for 25 years at various churches. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Wray; 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Survivors include her sisters, Mabel Simmons and Lois Simmons; brother, Jessie James Simmons; 2 nephews. There will be no formal visitation but the family will see friends after the service.
