Margaret C Pruitt

Margaret C. Pruitt, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 13, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Tuck officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday evening from 5:00-7:00PM and other times at the home.

Margaret was born on December 28, 1935, to the late Gilbert and Nannie Collins and grew up as the oldest of five sisters in a very close family. She later married and raised a family of her own. Margaret always enjoyed traveling, flowers, and gardening, but what she loved most of all was her children and her two granddaughters. Any chance she had to spend time with the grandkids, whether it was sporting events or graduations she was always present. Margaret will be remembered as a spunky, happy, independent, woman who was full of life. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Jimmy Saunders and William Pruitt; children, James W. Saunders and Wendy Saunders Wheeler; sisters, Brenda Ware and Jean Ross; infant siblings, Debbie Collins and G.L. Collins.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Cynthia Saunders and Emalea Underwood (Dwight); sisters, Alice Mason and Gladys Walker; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
