Maidie Horton Paschal

Maidie Horton Paschal, 89, of Reidsville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, in Reidsville.

Maidie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was defined by faith, family, and quiet strength. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Horton, and her daughter, Sarah Horton, and was later united in marriage to her beloved husband, Paul Rogers Paschal, affectionately known as Roger.

Maidie retired from JCPenney, where she worked faithfully for many years. She was a longtime and dedicated member of Eastside Baptist Church in Reidsville, where her Christian faith guided her life and shaped the way she loved and served others. In her later years, she often spoke with joy and confidence about her desire to be with Jesus, finding comfort and peace in the promise of eternal life.

Family was always at the center of Maidie’s world. She is survived by her husband, Paul Rogers Paschal; her children, Kathi Rabun, Kyle Paschal and wife Lori, and Kevin Paschal and fiancé Candace Layne. She was a loving grandmother to Kristi Blake, Zachery Baldwin and wife Ali, Hope Paschal Murphy and husband Kaegan , Tori Paschal Crumpton and husband Will, Kory Paschal, and Allyson Paschal and fiancé Cody Fogleman, as well as several cherished great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings, Jesse Williams, Debbie Shreve and husband Jerry, Leon Williams and wife Carolyn, and Betty Pettigrew and husband Warren.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 8, 2026, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m., both at Eastside Baptist Church in Reidsville. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens.
