Lucille Lasley Carter

Reidsville: Lucille Lasley Carter, 83, of Avante of Reidsville, died on Thursday, August 21, 2008. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 24, 2008 at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Ron Tuck officiating. Mrs. Carter was born in Rockingham County to the late J.W. Lasley and Alice Styers Lasley. She retired from Burlington Industries with over 35 years of service and was a lifelong member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Pleasant Carter. She is survived by her children, Alan Carter and wife, Diane of Reidsville, Larry Kenneth Carter and wife, Gina of Eden, Carolyn Billingsley and husband, Jerry of Clarksville, VA; grandchildren, Lee and Chad Carter, Dawn Hardin, Kenny Carter, Brandi Carter, Erica East, Sheila Bergman and Sylvia Morgan; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Joe Lasley and wife, Jane of Reidsville. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Sunday, August 24th from 12:30 to 1:30 PM. Other times the family will be at the home of Alan and Diane Carter, 254 Spring Road, Reidsville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lawsonville Road Baptist Church, US Highway 158, Reidsville, NC 27320 or the memorial of your choice.
