Lottie Belle Green

Lottie Belle Green, 77, of Ruffin went home to be with the Lord on August 25, 2022.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Dunn officiating. A private family burial will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at the Hyler Green Family Cemetery in Danville, Virginia. 

Lottie was born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia to the late Basil and Maggie Green. She was a member of Peaceful Baptist Church in Danville, Virginia for more than 15 years. 

Lottie loved to cook, bake cakes and care for people. She lived her life dedicated to showing love and compassion to other people. She loved flowers and had a green thumb. She was a tremendous caregiver to her mother in her late years and also raised her nieces as her own. She was giving of herself in every way she could. 

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers. 
Lottie is survived by nieces, Alice Murphy, Laura King, Nora Davis, Nancy Green, Mary Boyd and Judy Sizemore; step-niece, Talissa Pruitt; step-nephew, Bobby Kirks; along with many loving great-nieces and nephews.
