Lisa Carol Brammer, 55, of Reidsville, NC, passed away peacefully to start her new journey. She is walking now, healthy and whole, to join the family she loved and missed who had taken the journey before her.
The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
Lisa has been blessed with the constant love, care, and support of her daughter, Chelsee, who stayed by her side, giving her the care she needed every step of the way. Lisa’s faith in God gave her incredible strength to fight through the many battles she faced along the way.
She was a people person and always loved being around friends and family. She was the happiest when everyone gathered at the house for the night or when a friend came to stay for a few days. Lisa was always ready to take off on what she called a mission, usually with a sidekick ready for some excitement, too. She was not afraid to say what came to mind.
Lisa was the type of person everybody loved, making friends wherever she went. Just about everyone who met Lisa could tell you a story that would have you laughing or saying, “Only Lisa.” She adored babies and children all of her life, and several to this day call her “Crazy Aunt Lisa.” She loved her music and would dance better than anyone who tried to keep up with her. She enjoyed her trips to the beach or the lake, where she could enjoy the sunshine she loved so much, and was something she got to enjoy.
When Lisa couldn’t get out as much, she spent days keeping up with everyone on Facebook and watching cooking videos on TikTok. She loved to spend time listening to the news and watching soap operas with her Sissy Cat always nearby. It didn’t matter if Lisa didn’t feel her best; if you went to visit, you could still count on her saying something out of the blue that would have you laughing.
Lisa touched our lives with love, laughter, and joy, and now her smile, our adventures, and love will stay tucked in our hearts forever, as she would always say, “I love you too much.”
She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Karen Brammer; grandmother, Lucille Smith; aunt, Linda Chapman; cousin, Rocky Chapman; and her best friend, Sheree Call.
Lisa is survived by her only daughter, Chelsee Martinez (Kishawn); her brother, Glenn Brammer; her nephews, Blake and Logan Brammer; her niece, Dara Brammer; her great-nephew, Micah; and her cousin, Jodie Chapman, who was like a sister to her. Uncle, Chuck; She also leaves behind many friends and others she considered family.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to help cover the expenses associated with Lisa’s passing.
