Linda Jean Witherspoon

Linda Tucker Witherspoon, 78, passed away peacefully early on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

A family visitation will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM

Linda was born in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Cecil A Tucker and Opal Pell. Linda was an avid golfer and enjoyed a round with the girls or the family. She always found a way to spend time outside gardening or making the trip to the beach. Her life was marked by a desire to serve others by making food, making a visit or just inviting you over for games.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Tom Tucker (Gwynn); brother-in-law, Jack Mayes.

Linda is survived by her husband of 60 years, Bill G Witherspoon; children, Heather Witherspoon Wagoner (David), Adam Witherspoon (Valerie), Jason Witherspoon (Lauren); 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Libby Evans (Alonzo), Barabara Griffith, Patricia Mayes, Pricilla Sartorius (Don); brother, Mark Tucker (Carrie) as well as a large and loving group of extended family and friends.
