Linda Marie Wilson Hooker

Linda Marie Wilson Hooker passed away at Annie Penn Memorial Hospital on April 26th, 2020 surrounded by her family. Linda was born on February 11th, 1947 to the late Henry Ward Wilson Sr. and Alease Regan Wilson. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the family will have a private funeral service at Lawsonville Road Baptist Church on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at 2:00pm. Visitors may come to the church and listen to the funeral service on the radio from their vehicles at the time of the service. A private burial will take place at Happy Home Church Cemetery. There will not be a formal visitation, condolences may be made to the family at www.wilkersonfuneral.com. She is survived by her husband Calvin Hooker, grandson Troy Hooker of the residence, children, Michelle Hooker and her son Dakota Presnell of Wanchese, NC , McKailey Harrison of Eden, NC; Cheryl Evans and husband, Dave of Pelham, NC; Austin Boone and fiancé Noelle Branch, and Trevor Boone of Charlotte, NC; sisters: Sandra Lovelace and Pearl Gardner; brothers: Randy Wilson, Henry Ward Wilson Jr. (Buster) and wife Irene, and late Larry Wilson and wife Betty Wilson; special friends, Shirley Williams and Julia Somers whom she loved dearly. Linda served and honored the Lord from an early age. She was a good Christian wife, mother, and grandmother. She honored God and loved her family dearly. She enjoyed sitting by the beach, watching ocean sunsets, and listening to the waves. Linda always prayed, gave scripture advice, and helped and supported her children and grandchildren throughout life. She loved decorating her home for each holiday. She especially loved Christmas as she was able to celebrate the Lord and put her angel on top of the tree. She was a selfless, caring, sweet soul who always saw to it that her family was well taken care of. On Linda’s behalf, we would like to thank the church for their love, support, and prayers throughout all her hardships. The family would also like to thank Liz Echols, John Presnell and “Nana” Dawn Martin.

Calvin and family, we are praying for you all during this difficult time. Linda was always a good friend to us. I ( Doris) have many fond memories of her and myself going shopping and singing together at church. She was always dear to our family. Love the pictures posted and seeing how dear all of her family was to her. Those memories you will cherish forever. God Bless You All, We Love you! John and Doris Stewart
