Larry Gene Whaley

Larry Gene Whaley, 85, passed away at his home in Reidsville on Thursday, December 29^th, 2022.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev Phil Surrett officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Larry was born in Pitt County, NC  to the late Hubert Whaley and Susie Poythree. He was known as Kojac on the drag strip and loved drag racing and NASCAR simulators most of all he loved working and his family.  

He is survived by his wife, Vickie Whaley; son, Larry Whaley (Connie); stepson, Christopher McCall; grandchild, Dustin Whaley (Mary); great grandchildren, Blake Whaley, Rayce Whaley, Izajah Cochran; siblings, Marie Pleasant; Rick Whaley (Debbie) as well as a large and loving group of extended family and friends.
