Kimberlyn Denise Hoskins Lankford, born November 8, 1967, in Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home in Reidsville, North Carolina, on May 4, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald Alton Hoskins and Frances Jane Hoskins; her father-in-law, Jay Wesley Lankford; her grandparents; and many beloved pets who were dear to her heart.
Kim was a proud graduate of Guilford Technical Community College, where she earned her cosmetology degree.
She was married to the love of her life, Ricky Dean Lankford, for nearly 32 wonderful years. Together they built a life rooted in love, faith, and family.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished sister, aunt, and a loyal friend to so many. Her greatest pride and joy was her son, Brody Shane Lankford, whom she loved beyond measure.
Kim is survived by her loving sister, Shannon Leigh Gibson; brother-in-law, Matthew Gibson; and her beloved nephews, Braden and Justin Gibson, all of whom she loved dearly.
Kim had a deep love for her church family and friends at Church Street Baptist Church in Greensboro, North Carolina. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she shared it through her kindness and the way she loved others.
She had a special passion for animals and cared deeply for all of her fur babies, who brought her immense joy. Kim also loved all things pink and flashy, adored flamingos, and found happiness at the beach.
She had a beautiful spirit that could light up any room. Full of life and energy, she was known for her warm smile and joyful presence. Kim was a talented singer who could move a crowd with gospel music or delight them with a heartfelt Patsy Cline song at karaoke. She was also an incredible cook and had a gift for decorating, always adding beauty and warmth to every space she touched.
Kim will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Kim's Memorial Service will be held at Church Street Baptist Church, 3113 N. Church St., Greensboro, NC 27405 on Saturday, May 16th at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00PM.
