Kathy Craig Collins

Greensboro: Kathy Craig Collins, 56, of 5010 Marigold Way, passed away Monday, September 1, 2008 at Beacon Place. There will be a memorial service held by Friends of Bill at a later date. Kathy was born in Palm Beach, FL to Richard G. and Phyllis McLester Collins on December 8, 1951 and has lived in Guilford County for the last ten years. Kathy touched all of us with her compassion for life and her special sense of humor. She will be greatly missed but her spirit lives on in our hearts. Along with her parents, she is survived by her son, Chessie Byer Collins; brother, Clay S. Collins; sister, Riki Lee O’Kane and husband, Kevin; nephews, Jobe, Ben, and Jake; great niece, Emma; great nephew, Aiden and a special thanks to a second mother, Ruth Bittenbender. There will not be a formal visitation. Kathy was cared for in her final weeks at Beacon Place, the family would like to thank the staff for their kindness. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, North Carolina 27405.
