Kathleen Meador Carroll

Reidsville – Kathleen Meador Carroll, 81, formerly of 725 Russell Avenue, died Saturday, January 26, 2008 at Avante of Reidsville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Woodmont United Methodist Church with Rev. Carl Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the church. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Carroll was born in Rockingham County to the late Claude and Annie Turner Meador and was a graduate of Reidsville Senior High School. She retired from Cone Mills after over forty years service in the accounting department. A Charter member of Woodmont United Methodist Church, she was the church financial secretary for many years, sang in the choir and was a member of the Aldergate Sunday School Class. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William David Carroll and her sister, Betty Gray Meador. Mrs. Carroll is survived by her nephews, James E. Carroll of Smyrna, GA., Charles R. Carroll and wife, Judee of Southport and David L. Carroll and wife, Connie of Concord; great nephew, Jamie Carroll of Winston Salem, sister-in-law, Marjorie Carroll of Greensboro; special friends, Susan and Jimmy Thompson and Iola Madison all of Reidsville. The family would like to thank Highgrove Long Term Care and Avante of Reidsville for the wonderful care received by Mrs. Carroll during her stay there.
